Participants

The company or organisation wishing to participate in the Leonardo da Vinci Programme should belong to or have its headquarters in one of the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Rumania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom.

The following bodies cannot participate in this project under any circumstances:

• Organisms and Agencies of the European Unions. • Spanish Regional or government representations or offices: Embassies, Consulates, Cultural institutes... Also, if you decide to host a trainee in your organisation and this orgranisation is managing or working on European projects, the trainee will not be able to work directly or indirectly on these European projects, in order to avoid possible conflicts of interests.

Benefits for your company:

The Leonardo programme enables you to increase your competitiveness by welcoming highly qualified university graduates with up-to-date academic knowledge. Throughout the placement period, the trainee will receive a monthly grant. The General Foundation of the University of Salamanca will provide an insurance policy for the trainee covering accidents, civil liability and travel assistance for the duration of the stay and your company will not be liable for any social costs.

Obligations of your company:

Companies welcoming a Leonardo da Vinci trainee agree to:

• Develop a training programme in the professional area related to the trainee’s academic training. • Supervise and tutor throughout the placement the work developed by the trainee based on the specific work programme and designate for this purpose a company tutor. • Provide the general Foundation of the University of Salamanca with a final report at the end of the training period and provide the trainee with a certificate of the training period.

Although it is not compulsory, you may voluntarily give the trainee complementary aid in cash or in kind.

How to participate

To participate in the Leonardo da Vinci programme the first thing you have to do is register. After you have done that, you can offer a placement, describing a series of requirements the trainee should have to be able to carry out the training programme defined by your company.

After that, the management office will initiate the selection process in order to provide you with the profiles which are best suited to your needs. Before sending you a list of preselected candidates we will inform them about the conditions of your offer and confirm their interest in going ahead.
